The Court of Cassation in Riyadh has approved the sentence handed down by the General Court for the imprisonment of an Asian man for ten years and 1,500 lashes. The convicted man was found guilty of entering a house under construction and assaulting the guard, handcuffing him, and stealing a quantity of electric cables. The suspicions of security patrols had been raised by the Asian driving his car in the vicinity of the building and then fleeing from the location. Following a pursuit and the man's arrest, the police investigated the site of the building where they found the handcuffed guard. – Okaz __
