A two-day Pakistan-Saudi Investment Conference under the auspices of the Saudi Ministry of Finance and the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry will be held in the Kingdom on Oct. 20-21. To be attended by high-profile businessmen and industrialists of both countries, the conference is aimed at strengthening economic relations and boosting bilateral ties between the two countries. The Pakistani delegation will be headed by Syed Naveed Qamar, minister of finance with an additional portfolio of privatization and investment. The first day of the conference will be held in Riyadh and the next day will be in Jeddah. Delegates from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce representing more than 120 companies will attend. The Pakistan Consulate has invited around 450 Saudi companies to attend the conference, Press Counsel Muhammad Jamil said. Pakistani investors and businessmen will also meet the governor of Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority and visit the King Abdullah Economic City in Rabigh to consider the possibilities of participating in any of the five mega projects in the Kingdom, he added. The forums will be held at the chambers of commerce in both cities. __
