King Khaled Specialist Eye Hospital in Riyadh has dealt with more than 20 cases of injury caused by fireworks during the Eid holidays, said Abdullah Al-Salman, the hospital public relations manager. Most cases, he said, involve children around 10 years of age. According to Red Crescent Director, Saud Al-Othman, of the 856 cases the charity has dealt with during the same period, 33 of them were caused by fireworks. Of the others, 254 resulted from car accidents and 103 from fights, with the remaining 466 cases due to a variety of causes. – Okaz __
