BURAIDAH – The Acting Spokesman for Prisons said that at 17:00 today during the weekly visit to prisoners by their relatives and friends at Buraidah (public) prison, three administrative offices were set ablaze. Meanwhile, rioting caused by some inmates erupted. However, security men at the site were able to control the situation and pave the way for Civil Defense squads to do their duty and extinguish the fire. This resulted in the injury of two security men and two inmates who were all rushed to hospital for the necessary treatment while the concerned authorities opened an investigation into the incident to reveal the causes of the fire and the rioting that took place. - SPA
