Elaborate arrangements have been made for Eid prayers in Riyadh and adjoining areas. Prayers will be offered in 22 open places and 444 large mosques in the capital and outlying villages at about 6.00 A.M., 10-15 minutes after sunrise. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has identified particular open areas and mosques to ensure the smooth offering of prayers, Ahmad Al-Nwawi, Public Relations Manager at the Ministry told Saudi Gazette. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mufleh Aal-Hamed, Director General of the Ministry in Riyadh Region, said many locations have been set aside for Eid prayers in order to minimize overcrowding around the mosques.
