MINA — Scouts returned an old pilgrim, Muntasir, aged over 100 years, to his family after the poor man got lost in the ritual sites on Oct 15. All volunteers were on alert to search for the man after his family had reported him lost. After a long search, one of the volunteer scout found the old man at the Jamarat Bridge — exhausted and alone. Muntasir said he had hoped that the scouts would not find him quickly so that he would have more time to walk around in Mina and enjoy the spirituality of the place. This is my first Haj, he added. “I pray to Allah to die in Makkah and get buried in this holy city,” he said, when asked about his last wish.
