I am writing with regard to the article "Animals, too, were created by God" (Oct. 11). My 10-year-old cat died today and I am feeling very sad. She has been a part of our household since my daughter found her as a little kitten in front of our building with her head stuck in a Zamzam bottle. We cut the bottle off her head and as her mother could not be found, we took her in and she has been my responsibility ever since. Many people used to tell me to put her back in the street, but I didn't have the heart to do it. She has brought us lots of joy and made me appreciate animals a lot more.
