Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Haia) has signed a contract worth SR2.7 million for the training of its members, Al-Jazirah newspaper reported. Abdullateef Al-Alsheikh, president of the Haiar, signed the contract in Riyadh for training Haia personnel in Makkah and Madinah. The contract calls for 114 training courses for members working in the field and in administrative positions. A total of 2,850 members will receive training with each course consisting of 25 trainees and 10 workshops.The workshops will include field training and specialized programs, in addition to self-development courses and skills on how to deal with the general public. The specialized programs will include dealing with witchcraft, extortion and cybercrimes, in addition to crises management in the field. The training courses are an extension of previous courses offered to Haia members. Recently, Al-Alsheikh signed a similar contract for the training of Haia members in Riyadh, Qassim, Tabuk and Al-Jouf.
