Saudi youths wave the Kingdom's flags and a picture of King Abdullah in celebration of the country's National Day Sept. 23 in Jeddah. On their faces, clothes, cars and bikes and in the malls and streets of Jeddah and Dammam as well, Saudi youths proudly flaunted their patriotism all night long . The outpouring of national pride was louder, bigger and more joyous than witnessed in recent memory. Nearly 70 percent of the Saudi population is below the age of 30. The government is investing billions of riyals in the next generation of Saudis who have more educational opportunities in the country and abroad – scholarships included – better chances for skills development and rewarding careers, and increasing opportunities to own homes.
