The article “Measures tightened against fake products” (Sep. 26) reports that from Nov. 4 the Saudi Customs Department will ban the import of goods for which there are no laboratory test facilities in the Kingdom. This is a good move which will help to protect the rights of consumers. But what about electronics items? Consumers are losing a lot of money as they are being cheated by shops which are selling fake electronics products at a high price. The concerned authorities should put a stop to this practice.
