Saeed Al-Khotani Saudi Gazette RIYADH — King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh will organize the sixth biennial International Nursing Symposium under the title “Leading Through Change: Excellence Beyond Limits.” The event will take place on Sept. 17-18 at KFSHRC's Postgraduate Center under the support of Princess Haifa Al-Faisal, chairwoman of Zahra Breast Cancer Association. Head of the symposium's organizing committee Bushra Al-Hunaidi, also education coordinator for critical care and cardiovascular nursing, said: "We are honored that Her Royal Highness Princess Haifa Al-Faisal Bin Abdulaziz, well known for her generosity in promoting community well being, is supporting the future of nursing in Saudi Arabia.” She said the event's scientific program would feature internationally and nationally renowned keynote speakers, special guests, 54 scientific and poster presentations and five workshops. Denise Hibbert, head of the event's scientific committee and clinical specialist director for colorectal therapy, said the event will provide an opportunity for nurses and heath care professionals to exchange ideas related to leadership, quality, evidence-based practice, professional development, research, informatics and nursing innovations. The relationship between the nursing profession and the community will be emphasized throughout this event.
