The deadly duo of Ferdie Ramos and Vicky Vitug dazzled to emerge as the week's best male and female bowlers and to power Mitsubishi Elevators team to the Team of the Week award on the 8th week of the Riyadh Internatiolnal School (RIS) Saturday Family Bowling League. The league is being held at the InterCon Riyadh Hotel Bowling Center and organized by the Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR) and sponsored by the Riyadh International School. Mitsubishi Elevators, mentored by Willie Ortega, and through the heroics of Ferdie Ramos, Vicky Vitug, Ortega, Jett Cabana and Donjie Mapalad rolled past newcomer Marnny's Bowlers, 17-7. Ramos led by posting 869 points and coming next was Vicky Vitug (858). Vitug's brilliant display made her as the week's female back-to-back bowler of the week awardee. Ortega rolled 713 points while Cabana was next with 563 series in three games. At the forefront in Marnny's Bowlers was Omar Valdez with 719 points and he was followed by his spouse Naima Valdez (676). Noel Ordonez, Nadec's Sales Manager, Lope Ramirez and Lody Ersando submitted 569, 529 and 515. Arnold Quindara contributed 515 points while Danny Nabong downed 176. Riyadh International School, mentored by Ric Urrutia Sr., blanked The Manila Bistro, 12-3 through the tandem of Rina Labo (715) and Rene Clemente (711). Ric Urrutia Jr. seared lanes to submit 678 points while Ernee Noto had 560 points. Ric Urrutia Sr. chipped in 485 points while Joe Balanay scored 310. At the helm in The Manila Bistro were Gigi Enriquez and the fastrising Froilan Rodriguez who shot a separate series of 729 and 728 points respectively. Fe Ricalde snatched 687 points while Dennis Mendoza impressed by tallying 663. The fancied Hill International team, captained by Tony Estrella, upset heavy favorite Karambola, 11-4, through Juliet and Johnny de Asis who posted separate series of 706 and 701. Fhel Ramos excelled too by adding a series of 622 in three games while Fem Baracoso sealed 496. Edwin Nunez rolled 344 points. Topscoring in the dismayed Karambola was Beth Danganan with 703 points and she was followed by Wilson Ringor with 674. Noli Ritual and Ben Torrefiel carded 546 and 526 points. Pastor Rodel Canda downed 349 points while Larry Mondoy and Jun Bantug had 315 and 313 series in two games.
