OAKLAND, California — Coco Crisp and Stephen Vogt homered, A.J. Griffin struck out seven in seven innings, and the Oakland Athletics completed a three-game sweep of Tampa Bay with a 5-1 victory Sunday. The A's (78-58), who won the first two games of the series by one run, lead the American League wild-card race. The Rays (75-60) are the second wild-card team. Oakland, one game behind AL West-leading Texas, will host the Rangers in a three-game series starting Monday. After Crisp led off the bottom of the first with a home run, James Loney tied it with a homer in the second. The A's added a run in the seventh, two in the eighth. Indians 4, Tigers 0: Mike Aviles blasted a ninth-inning grand slam as the Cleveland Indians ended a five-game losing streak with a victory over the Detroit Tigers.
