‘Chinese Visitor Summit' in Yas Island
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 03 - 09 - 2013

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld hosted jointly a special opening event Sunday night opening the Chinese Visitor Summit 2013.
Roofed under the largest existing Ferrari Logo, the delegates from China were introduced to the world's largest indoor and first Ferrari branded theme park, furthermore enticed by the other remaining world-class attractions Yas Island has to offer.
Trumping its second year, the Chinese Visitor Summit 2013 is spearheaded by i2i Group China and Nicholas Publishing International, whilst strongly backed by Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA). Dedicated to tapping into an exciting new market, TCA are avidly committed to boosting Chinese presence, exposing the Chinese traveller to the glitz and sought-after travel destination Abu Dhabi has to offer.
Consisting of a delegation of 75 Chinese, the summit will be attended by outbound tourism bookers, Chinese media, CEOs as well as sports events producers from wholesale, retail, leisure, golf, adventure and FIT operators. The delegates will be experiencing, and later sharing with a wider Chinese travel audience, Abu Dhabi's greatest attractions including Yas Island, the region's prime leisure and business destination.
Attracted primarily by UAE's wealth of tax-free shopping opportunities, as well as ease of access and entry, today the Chinese traveller has varied interests including; culture & heritage, gastronomy, beaches, resorts and golf.
In partnership with the summit, Yas Island is keen to showcase its selection of ‘jewels'. “Boasting the only Emirati themed waterpark, Yas Waterworld, sensational sea views on our world renowned golf course, Yas Links, the languid leisure of Yas Beach and the highly anticipated Yas Mall, needless to say we tick a lot of the boxes,” said Karim El Guanaini, Vice President, Destination Management Yas Island. — SG
