strong crew of Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) were injured in Saturday's deadly truck bombing here, Saudi Ambassador Ali Awad Asiri told Saudi Gazette. The crew had arrived early in the morning and were in the Marriott hotel when the truck bomb exploded, he said. Embassy staff rushed to the scene, tracked down the crew members and drove them in their cars to Al-Shifa Hospital, the envoy said. “I personally took two of them in my car,” he said. Asiri said four Saudi men and two hostesses – a Syrian and a Pakistani – were hospitalized. He identified the men as Hani Al-Ghamdi, Barrak Al-Osman, Muhammed Al-Nuweisar, and Abdulrasheed Khan. The Pakistani hostess was found with her arm broken. The remaining 10 crew members will be flown back to Jeddah on Sunday. The ambassador appealed to Saudi students in Pakistan to remain vigilant, not to go out in public places, and to contact the embassy in case of any emergency. __
