Pakistan's newly elected President Asif Ali Zardari will address parliament for the first time on Saturday, officials said, amid mount ng concerns over direct US strikes in its tribal areas. Information Minister Sherry Rehman, Federal Advisor Begum Shehnaz Wazir Ali and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) spokesman Farhatullah Babar have prepared the maiden “historic” speech of Zardari that he will deliver to a joint sitting of the parliament on Saturday. They discussed the draft of the address prepared by the information ministry and drastically changed it during a meeting at the Prime Minister's House, an official told Saudi Gazette. Zardari's inaugural “state of the union address” will spell out the overall agenda of the government for the next year and reiterate its policies on a extremism, democracy and economy. “The speech will also contain the vision of the president to make visible improvements in different fields,” the official said adding that it would comprehensively reflect Zardari's worldview. The president would get the first opportunity to speak in detail about what he wants to do to pull the country out of the messy situation. __
