A boy died due to suffocation and another was injured when he jumped to the ground to escape the rising flames in a fire that broke out in a room of a two-story ramshackle house where a family of 24 members was living, according to Lt. Col. Mansoor Al-Dowsari, spokesperson of the Civil Defense in the Eastern Province. Narrow streets and alleys hampered the work of firefighting and rescue teams under the command of Lt. Col. Muhammad Bin Yahya Al-Zahrani. Water hoses were extended for 400 meters to douse the fire as fire engines could not reach the scene of the fire because of the narrow streets. – Okaz __
