The Jeddah Municipality has set out a plan to beautify the city by making it look colorful on the Kingdom's National Day (Sept. 23) and during the Eid Al-Fitr holidays. Talat Hamooh, Director of Parks Management in the municipality, said the city has been divided into six areas and the management has started planting 150,000 rose bushes in parks all over the city. Jeddah has been classified into six zones: the Historical Area in the city's downtown; the marketing area like Al-Tahliah Street and Prince Sultan Street; recreational areas, such as, the Corniche and Obhur, the strategic zone comprising King Road, Al-Salam Road and Al-Andalus Street, and the central area, such as the main intersections of Madina Road, and Jeddah's various entry points. Hamooh added that the municipality has made available a number of sports activities for children at the Corniche and made special lighting arrangements on the streets. __
