JEDDAH — Two women health workers are among three new cases of Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) coronavirus infections reported in the Kingdom on Thursday. The health workers, from Asir and Riyadh regions, both had mild symptoms of MERS, said a statement posted on the Health Ministry's website. The third new case is a 67-year-old woman from Riyadh, who had been suffering from various chronic diseases. She is receiving treatment at the intensive care unit of a local hospital. The new cases bring to 92 the total number of people who have contracted the virus worldwide. — SG
