Saudi Gazette report JEDDAH – The Health Affairs in Jeddah has failed to pay the salaries of 80 medical interns on fellowships in different specializations for the month of Ramadan. The gross negligence shown by the Health Affairs comes at a time when the government sector typically pays its employees on the 20th day of Ramadan, the interns said. Many of the trainee doctors said Eid for their families and children will be difficult as they cannot afford common Eid expenses like other employees in Jeddah Health Affairs. The delay in payment of salaries has been a recurring problem ever since the Health Affairs was tasked with the responsibility of paying the interns. The doctors said they had tried to solve their problem with the Health Affairs but their demands were ignored and no a speedy solution was found.
