I am writing with reference to the article "Remembering Khatoon e Pakistan Fatima Jinnah" (July 30). Miss Fatima Jinnah was the first woman in Asia to establish a female-exclusive student association, when she founded the "Women Students Federation" in 1941. She went on proving her God-given leadership qualities for socio-political services. After independence, she founded the All Pakistan Women Association (APWA) which to date is functioning as Asia's top institution to serve and protect women's rights. Thanks to Saudi Gazette for pointing out these facts. We are all proud of Miss Fatima Jinnah. Katherine Gallagher, FRCS, Online response II. Khatoon e Pakistan was the pioneer of women's socio-political work in the subcontinent. Her advice to the Pakistani nation in 1967 is so true in 2013. She said: "The immediate task before you is to face the problems and bring the country back on the right path with the bugles of Quaid e Azam's message. March forward under the banner of the star and the crescent with faith, unity, and discipline". May Allah bless her soul. Thank you Saudi Gazette for this timely reminder. Dr. Maliha Lodhi, Online response III. Miss Fatima Jinnah is a symbol of wisdom, sacrifice, and social service. Leaving all the riches and comforts of a medical career, remaining unmarried, and dedicating her entire life to serving the cause of establishing a homeland for the subcontinent's Muslims is undoubtedly a remarkable achievement. She led by example. Asia has rarely produced such a gem! Dr. Jyoti Ram Kumar, Online response
