With reference to the article "Stop bad treatment of maids" (July 24), I feel that before we blame poor and helpless maids, we must analyze the way their employers treat them. They are often not given proper food to eat, they cannot sleep well and most importantly they are treated badly by the family even though they are working for its benefit. Try living like this and sleeping for only two or three hours a day and see how you feel. But some of these maids live in such inhumane conditions for years.
