Time for Saudi women to do their own housework

I am writing about the article "Over 200 Ethiopian maids detained in two months" (July 20). Host families should allow their houseworkers to have access to their embassies at least once a week and to attend communal gatherings with other houseworkers of the same or other nationalities. Any housemaid would go crazy if she had to live with strangers who speak another language and eat strange food that she is not used to and if she was not free to even step outside of the house. Better yet, maybe it is time for Saudi women to do their own housework.
