Syed Mussarat Khalil Saudi Gazette JEDDAH – Supporters of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) in Jeddah organized a function at a local restaurant and observed “black day” to mark the martial law of July 5, 1977, during which the democratically-elected government of Pakistan People's Party founder and then Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was toppled from power. PPP officials, including Central President Choudhary Ashfaque, Senior Vice President Salim Abbasi, Chairman, Executive Committee Choudhary Zulfiqar, Chief Organizer Raja Shamroz, Secretary-General Mushtaq Khan and Information Secretary Shams Uddin Altaf, recalled the achievements of the Bhutto government. Imtiaz Shah, Sufi Yakoub, Noor Khan and Chairman Media Office's Coordinator Mian Dilshad Jani also attended the function and praised Bhutto as an international leader and said his services to the country and the Muslim world will be remembered forever.
