Engineer Muhiealdin Hakami, Director of Information Technology sector in the Jeddah Chamber for Commerce and Industry, was given an ISO award here on Sunday. The IT sector has now become one of the most important sectors where they apply global standards in performance and provide an appropriate environment for workers, said Saleh Al-Turki, JCCI chief. ”This award is considered a culmination of our efforts in the five IT branches. It would positively affect the sector and push us to achieve a lot more in future,” said Hakami. He attributed this achievement to the efforts of all employees of the sector. “Our main concern is to finish the work on many projects such as the chamber of electronic (e-chamber) for transactions through the use of electronic signboards. This can significantly reduce use of paper and cut the time for completing the transaction,” added Hakami. __
