Ashraf Abdul Wahab TRIPOLI — A leading revolutionary fighter turned army commander escaped assassination on Thursday when his vehicle was fired at. The commander's car came under the bullet attack as he left a Tripoli supply base. Said Amer Guji, a mobile force commander attached to the Army chief of Staff, was leaving the depot at Bawabat Aljibs when armed men in another car came alongside and began firing. Guji returned fire and the attackers made off, but not before injuring him in the head and hands. He was treated at a hospital in Mitiga. During the liberation, Guji was a prominent revolutionary leader fighting with the Jadu brigade. — Libya Herald
