Moreover, the Foundation facilitated the registration of a medical patent for a Saudi female inventor in the United States of America. Dr Al-Obeid expressed his thanks and gratitude to King Abdullah for his continuing follow-up and care for developing talent, creativity and innovation. “The increasing scientific innovative production by Saudis in different categories reflects the Foundation's efforts to promote the gifted, talented and creative community and to prepare young national pioneers capable of developing knowledge-based national industries,” Al-Obeid said. Dr. Al-Obeid added that the support provided for the Foundation by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques as well as the Crown Prince contributed to making it possible for Saudi male and female inventors to gain access to international arenas and receive awards, such as the Geneva International Exhibition of inventors and the Intel Exhibition of Science and Engineering in the United States of America. The Foundation's Secretary General Dr. Khaled Bin Abdullah Al-Sabti said that this achievement was a culmination of fruitful cooperation between Mawhiba and Saudi Aramco and the Organization of Saudi Innovation Exhibition, as well as the fruitful cooperation between Mawhiba and the King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology for the registration of 60 patents at the city.
