Samar Yahya Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — Tunisia is interested in seeking more Saudi investments, interim Tunisian Prime Minister Ali Larayedh said here on Sunday. The current economic reforms carried out by his government, he said, was offer a good opportunity to Saudi investors. Addressing a press conference, at the conclusion of his two-day state visit to the the Kingdom, Larayedh said his visit has helped improve bilateral cooperation between the two countries in political, economic, financial and technical fields. During his visit, he said, he has discussed with Saudi leaders ways of enhancing trade and other relations between the two countries.?During his two-day stay here, Larayedh held talks with a number of senior officials including officials of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Islamic Development Bank. Larayedh expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and Crown Prince Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. “The visit to the Kingdom has been fruitful, and has made ??it possible to enhance political relations between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia and provide impetus to the economic and social links between the two countries. During the visit, security cooperation between the two countries was also reviewed,” Larayedh said. He stressed that security and stability of a nation is vital for its progress and development. He extended his support to cooperation between Saudi and Tunisian private sector to take advantage of opportunities between the two countries in the economic field. Larayedh's delegation to the Kingdom included Foreign Minister Othman Jerandi; Minister of International Cooperation and Development Lamine Doghri; Central Bank Governor Shazli Ayari; and secretary of state to emigration and expats Houcine Jaziri. Larayedh was received by Crown Prince Salman; Second Deputy Prime Minister Prince Miqren Bin Abdul Aziz; Makkah Emir Prince Khaled Al-Faisal; and several other princes and senior officials.
