All sectors must fight increasing prices collectively and it is wrong to put all the blame on the government, Prince Mishaal Bin Abdul Aziz, chief of the Allegiance Commission, said here Friday night. “It is a joint social responsibility of businessmen, merchants and wealthy citizens. Consumers also should rationalize their consumption,” Prince Mishaal said after patronizing the final ceremony for honoring the campaign of partners against the increase in prices. Prince Mishaal said despite the worldwide economic stagnation and the scourge of terrorism, the Kingdom has established economic cities with large financial investments. “This provides clear evidence of the stability of the Saudi economy and its capability to grow in a secured environment under the leadership of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, he said, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday. Prince Mishaal underscored the importance of investment inside the country and lauded the facilities extended by the government to businessmen in this regard. Prince Mishaal said the doors of the King are always open for all who want to present proposals which may contribute to the service of the country and the citizens. Later Prince Mishaal honored Dr. Saud Bin Saeed Al-Mathami, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet for the Affairs of the Shoura Council and Acting Minister of Culture and Information, for his active role in the campaign against price rises. Prince Mishaal expressed optimism that the campaign would yield positive results. He urged merchants and companies to positively react and contribute to the march of building the country. He underlined the importance of cooperation and giving more attention to the poor and quoted Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who highlighted the importance of helping poor people. Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Ghannam, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Ghannam Companies for building materials, said the organization of the campaign shows keenness to support the state's efforts on development and progress. Dr. Ridwan Al-Hamadi, Deputy Chairman of the Forum of Arab Gulf Businessmen, highlighted the support being extended by the Saudi leadership to businessmen which enables them to contribute to the service of society. He expressed happiness for the positive reaction of government bodies with the campaign. __
