Jamia Millia Islamia Alumni Association, Riyadh Chapter, organized an Iftar-cum-dinner at a restaurant in in the capital recently. The Iftar party is yet another milestone in the history of events organized by JAMIAA, Riyadh, during its short term of office, a fact acknowledged and appreciated by Deputy Chief of Mission Rajeev Shahare, who was present on the occasion. Besides scores of Jamiaits, a number of Indian diplomats, dignitaries, journalists, and office-bearers of other sisterly associations were present during Iftar party. Rajeev Shahare lauded the spirit of equality, sincerity, and brotherhood during fasting. Ozair Falahi, a Jamiaiit, spoke on the importance of fasting and charity in Islam. Athar Azmi, treasurer, thanked all participants. Mohammad Shahabuddin conducted the proceedings. Besides, Shahar, Indian Embassy's First Secretary J. S. Rana, Second Secretary (Pol.) Amit Mishra, and Attache Mahesh Chand attended the party, which was arranged by the founders of the Association, Shafaatullah Khan and Mohammad Shahabuddin, President Mohammad Muneeb, Vice-President Laiq Azmi, Treasurer Engr. Atiqur Rahman.
