Suzuki and Khalifa Al-Gosaibi triumph

KOBAR - In EPCA Knockout Cricket Tournament, sponsored by Saudi Readymix, Suzuki recorded a big win against ADPCO.
Opting to bat first ADPCO scored 338 runs. Hidayath seemed to be on a scoring spree. Most of the runs were scored by him in fours and sixes - 218 off 128 balls with 15 fours and 9 sixes. He and Suharab put 220 runs for the second wicket. Suharab scored 59 (5 fours and 1 six) and Imran hit 14. ADPCO tallied 338-5. Zain, Shani and Mohsin took one wicket each.
Chasing a big score Suzuki played excellently to reach the target in just 39 overs, making 340-5. Mohsin and Shani opened the innings and flayed the ADPCO bowling attack. Suzuki lost its first wicket at 169. Shani scored 67 and Kashif made 20. Mohsin showed his class and scored 136 off 90 balls with 18 fours and 3 sixes. He brought his team to winning point. Then Imran took up the responsibility and played sensibly to remain unbeaten on 70 off 50 balls. It was Suzuki's first win against ADPCO. Hidayat and Imran took 2 wickets each.
In another match, Royal Kashmir batted first and was all out for 170 against Asia Eleven. Firoz scored 64, Younus 43 and Yasir 21. Ishaq, Rizwan, Azam and Shafiq took 2 wickets each.
After a shaky start, Asia Eleven recovered. Shafiq blasted an unbeaten 108 with 10 fours and 1 six and Rizwan hit 36 to lead their team to win. Rashid bowled well and took 3-29 in 5 overs.
Hyderabad Blues won the toss and batted first against ICCC. Sajid scored 43 with 4 fours and 1 six. The other scorers were Taj (16), Farhan (25) and Yassir Ghafoor (23). Tausif, Danish and Siraj took 2 wickets each. ICCC achieved the target in just 17 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. Mohsin slammed 59 not out and Abdul Aziz conbtributed 63. Inayat took 2-30.
In another match, opting to bat Natest was all out for 144 in 27 overs against Khalifa Gosaibi. Ali Mohammed (39), Gulam Murtaza (20) and Nasir Zain (28 not out) were the main scorers. Furqan Manna and Qaiser Waq bowled well and took 4 wickets each.
Khalifa Al-Goasibi reached the target in just 24 overs (149-2) through Mohammed Sajid (47) and Khaja Moinuddin (50). Aftab and Ali Mohammed claimed one wicket each. __
