Sultan Al-Sughair Saudi Gazette JUBAIL – The Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) launched a four-day campaign in Jubail to increase awareness on safe transportation of chemicals, reduce the risks of road accidents when transporting chemicals, and educate transporters on how to react in the event of such mishaps. The campaign is organized under the slogan “Be Careful, These are Our Souls,” in collaboration with the SABIC manufacturing affiliates, Al-Razi, Petrokemya and Sadaf, along with a number of government security agencies. Samir Al-Abdrabbuh, Vice President; Corporate Communications, said the campaign seeks to educate SABIC-contracted truck drivers on the various types of chemicals. Al-Abdrabbuh said “it highlights the importance of safe driving, the need to adopt preventive measures during transportation, the correct safety procedures to be followed when dealing with chemicals, and the actions that need to be taken when faced with an emergency.” As part of the campaign, an exhibition is being held along the Dammam-Jubail highway, highlighting the achievements of SABIC in ensuring safe transportation of chemicals.
