A fire started in an air conditioner revealed a three-room liquor distillery on Taroot Island. Civil Defense officials said the fire originated in an air conditioner unit used to cool a room where liquor was being distilled in a workers compound. The fire destroyed a large part of the apartment and gutted the three rooms and a large hall being used to house the distillery. One distillery worker was injured in the fire and was taken to a local hospital for treatment while another worker was taken to the police station. Security officials said they found 1,500 bottles full of liquor ready for distribution. – Okaz __
