Jeddah Police arrested an African national mobile phone thief who allegedly stole mobiles from citizens while they were distracted by their mobile phone conversations. The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) used undercover police to arrest the alleged mobile phone thief. One of the undercover officers noticed an African man watching another man holding a mobile phone. When he tried to steal the phone he was apprehended by police. Police found several mobile phones on the African man and he was unable to turn them on. Police said this proved the phones had been stolen from other people. Col. Misfir Al-Je'aid, spokesperson for the Jeddah Police said they are investigating the thief and urges people to ensure any mobile phones they buy are not stolen. – Okaz __
