With regard to the letter "Grace period must be extended" (June 14), the government should evaluate the current grace period to determine if the system is working and if the number of staff is sufficient to accommodate everyone in the 90-day grace period. It should be clear by now how many have already had their residency status rectified and how many more are still in the queue.
