FREETOWN — Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), visited the Republic of Sierra Leone on Monday. During the trip, Prince Alwaleed met with Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone at the presidential palace. The two discussed investment, philanthropic and general issues related to their respective countries. Moreover the President honored Prince Alwaleed the highest honorary medal “The Grand Commander of the Republic of Sierra Leone”, this medal is considered Prince Alwaleed's 67th Honorary Medal. Also, Prince Alwaleed donated $1 million through Alwaleed Bin Talal Humanitarian Foundation in Lebanon to Sierra Leone to support youth and health initiatives. In conclusion, the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone bid His Highness farewell at Freetown International airport. Prince Alwaleed was accompanied by a delegation that included Dr. Khalid Almansour, Adviser-Africa to HRH the Chairman, Dr. Nahla Nasser Alanbar, Private Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman, Ms. Hassna Alturki, Department Head, Travel and External Affairs, Mr. Hani Agha, Senior Manager for Travel and External Affairs, Mr. Naief Alzuhair, Manager Website & Social Media, Corporate Communications Department, Mr. Mohammed Alfaraj, Assistant Manager, for Travel and External Affairs and Mr. Fahad Bin Saad Bin Nafel, Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman and Mr. Hassan Mukhtar, Advisor to HRH the Chairman. In 2003, Prince Alwaleed visited Sierra Leone and met with the former President Ahmed Tejan Kabbah. — SG
