With regard to the report “Rental system urged as tenancy rows grow” (June 10), I would like to point out that both tenants and landlords have rights. However, when landlords raise the rent to line their pockets, it then becomes problematic. Many tenants feel that they have no rights at all. Landlords should do more than they do for their tenants. In my case, our landlord does nothing at all and refuses to accept any responsibility for the building until it is time to collect the rent. Why should I as a tenant be subjected to sharing electricity with my neighbor and splitting the cost of usage? It's shameful. Abdul Kareem Muhammad, Online response
