MUMBAI — To mentally prepare for his upcoming period romance film “Lootera,” Ranveer Singh reportedly stopped watching TV and using his cellphone. “It was very interesting to do a period film because a new world is created. I had no clue about 1950s, so to live a character who is living in that era, was very interesting,” said Ranveer, adding that he had to interesting preparations before he shot for the film. Singh believes that he has given a very calm performance. Set in the 1950s, the Vikramaditya Motwane directed film will see Ranveer playing an archeologist. — SG
