This refers to the article in Saudi Gazette “Public vs. private schools: Why the difference?” on May 28. It is all well to debate the merits and demerits of public vs. private, but the core issue once again escapes all. Why is no one questioning the quality of the teachers. Clearly there is a huge difference between public and private school teachers, not only in the level of expertise but also on application. Maybe the problem should be addressed at the educational institutes (colleges or universities), and finally why not ensure that all teachers are certified educators from their respective countries!
