TOKYO — Mongolian Hakuho won his 25th championship title Sunday at the Summer Grand Sumo Tournament. Hakuho secured the Emperor's Cup when main rival Kisenosato lost to fellow ozeki Kotoshogiku in the penultimate bout at Royogoku Kokugikan to drop to 13-2 in the 15-day meet. Hakuho then easily defeated compatriot and fellow grand champion Harumafuji (11-4) in the day's final bout to improve to 15-0. The win puts Hakuho in a tie for third on the all-time list with compatriot and retired grand champion Asashoryu. Former grand champion Taiho holds the all-time record for most championship wins with 32. Kisenosato lost to Hakuho Saturday. — AP
