The Hyderabad International Airport in the city outskirts Sunday witnessed a sensational case of robbery when an armed gang waylaid a car loaded with boxes of gold jewelry and looted it after threatening the occupants with fire arms, police said. According to the Cyberabad Police, the consignment of gold was brought from Mumabi on a Jet Airways flight by courier company agents to be delivered to the jewelry shops in the city. Just as the car was leaving the airport area, the armed gangsters stopped it and escaped with four boxes containing gold jewelry and ornaments worth Rs20 crore. Delivery boys Hari Ram, Madan and Mishra, who were carrying the boxes in a car told the police that the assailants escaped in a Santro Car with a number plate of AP9 BG 1081. The police, who are suspecting it to be an insider's job who passed the information about the movement of gold consignment, has announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for information about the car. The police had launched a massive search operations for the car and messages have been flashed to the other cities and towns to look out for the vehicle. Interestingly the same company had become the target of another similar heist in 2005 when the gold consignment had landed at Begumpet airport. __
