On the first day of the competition of the FBGR 4th Anniversary Bowling Tournament, the ABB Tribe team and the pair of Wilson Bacala and Edgar Buenaventura bagged the team and doubles event titles respectively at the InterCon Riyadh Hotel Bowling Center. ABB Tribe, captained by Rey Pompa, bounced back in the remaining games to take the lead from Unica team by posting total team series of 2,927 to capture the team event title. Atoi Ramos led by tallying 830 points, followed by Mel Solas (729), Rey Pompa (713) and Glenn Espiritu (655). ABB Tribe won a cash prize of SR1,200 plus individual trophies. Unica, captained by Ronald Bautista, with members Cas Encila, Nap Torres and Gayner Elias, secured the second place by posting total team series of 2,883. Encila topscored in Unica by tallying 765 points while Bautista and Torres submitted 760 and 765. Elias contributed 656 points. A cash prize of SR800 was awarded to Unica plus individual trophies. YMB Fanatics of Manie Isles settled for third place by registering a total team output of 2,855. Gigi Enriquez led with 786 points. Jeff Jimenez and Isles followed by sharing separate series of 742 and 704 while Doy del Moral added 623 points. YMB Fanatics won a cash prize of SR400 and individual trophies. The tandem of veteran Wilson Bacala and Edgar Buenaventura fired a combined series of 1,610 to romp away with the doubles event plum. Bacala scored a towering series of 905 on lines of 226, 257, 202 and 220 while Buenaventura had 705 points. Bacala and Buenaventura won a cash prize of SR800 and trophies. Landing in second place were the duo of Jett Cabana and Efren Abuyo who submitted a combined series of 1,561. Cabana and Abuyo scored separate series of 857 and 704.A cash prize of SR600 and trophies were awarded to them. The renowned pair of Jun Bantug and Noli Ritual placed third by posting a combined series of 1,492. Bantug rolled 811 points while Ritual registered 681. Bantug-Ritual pair won a cash prize of SR400 and trophies. Jeff Jimenez and Doy del Moral were in fourth place with 1,488 while Nap Torres and Gayner Elias settled for fifth with 1,487.
