Mariam Nihal Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — Kanye West debuted “Black Skinhead” and performed “New Slaves” on Saturday Night Live creating buzz across the world. “Black Skinhead” is produced by duo legend Daft Punk. Jonah Weiner, contributing editor for Rolling Stone, tweeted out an excerpt from his article on Daft Punk, confirming the artists worked together in Paris. Daft Punk revealed that they've made some “super primal and raw and super violent” music with West. “We had a combination of live drums and programmed drums going,” Thomas reportedly told Rolling Stone. “And Kanye was rapping over it,” Homem Christo recalled. Speaking to Mixmag, Thomas Bangalter said: “When the first 15-second snippet of ‘Get Lucky' came out, West came to our studio in Paris and we worked on loads of different ideas together. We're not sure how many tracks we will have on his album yet.” Talking about the rage in the controversial single “Black Skinhead” Thomas said: “The music we worked on with Kanye was super primal and raw and super violent. It was the opposite of our new album in lots of ways. It was reallyexciting to do something completely raw.” Macklemore tweeted: “Well, that new Kanye video/song got me inspired enough to write for the last hour and a half.” Kendrick Lamar spoke to MTV about West's single “New Slaves” and said he was inspired by West who keeps “raising the stakes” for Hiphop. “After a while you get to a point in hip-hop where certain tactics get watered down,” he said. “How much music can you release on the Internet to get it hot? How many singles can you put out? How many videos can you possibly do?” Online reports claim that Daft Punk and Skrillex will both be on West's new album “Yeezus!” Kim Kardashian Instagrammed the album cover as well as the release date of June 18.
