With regard to the report "Sharif declares election victory" (May 12), Nawaz Sharif deserves this victory, since he was the last elected leader toppled in a coup by Musharraf. I hope all the parties get together and work in the interests of the country with the army in the barracks and with a strong judiciary. Musharraf should be made to pay for his crimes. I hope that Pakistanis will remember that the nation was created as an Islamic state. They should return to Shariah rule, while guaranteeing the safety and rights of all the minorities.
