Literature Commission to organize Jazan Book Fair 2025

JAZAN —The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission is organizing a book fair during February 11-17, as part of the activities of "Jazan Winter 25" season.
The first edition of Jazan Book Fair 2025 will be held at Prince Sultan Cultural Center, as part of the Saudi Book Fairs initiative, one of the Commission's strategic initiatives, that works to expand the organization of book fairs in Saudi Arabia, as cultural windows that bring together literarateurs, publishers and translators from local and international institutions and companies with readers and other interested parties.
The CEO of the Commission, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Wasil, explained that Jazan Book Fair 2025 comes within the Commission's efforts to enhance the cultural movement in Saudi Arabia and achieve the goals of Saudi's Vision 2030, by spreading the values of knowledge and creativity, and stimulating the local publishing industry.
The book fair will witness the participation of major local, regional and Arab publishing houses.
It also includes a diverse cultural program, including a special area for children that offers cultural programs for this age group in the fields of writing, authorship, theater, and animation, in addition to various interactive and cultural activities. The will also be special area for discounted sale.
The exhibition offers more than 250 diverse activities, including lectures, seminars and workshops, held by a number of specialists from inside and outside Saudi Arabia, distributed across the theater, the children's area and the handicrafts area.
In celebration of the Year of Handicrafts, Jazan Book Fair 2025 has prepared a handicrafts area, consolidating the status of handicrafts as an authentic cultural heritage, and enhancing their practice, preservation, acquisition, documentation of their stories, and their presence in our contemporary lives.
Jazan Book Fair 2025 is the first exhibition to be organized by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission this year, after a series of previous exhibitions that included Madinah Exhibition in August, Riyadh Exhibition in October, and Jeddah Exhibition in December of 2024.
Jazan Book Fair 2025 will open its doors to visitors daily from 11 am to 12 midnight, except for Friday when it will be open from 2 pm to 12 midnight.
