RIYADH — Saudi Arabia has expressed its appreciation of the condemnation and outright rejection voiced by Arab and Muslim nations in response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statements regarding the displacement of the Palestinian people. "The Kingdom values these firm positions that reaffirm the centrality of the Palestinian cause to the Arab and Muslim world," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Sunday. Saudi Arabia reiterated its categorical rejection of such statements, which it described as an attempt to divert attention from the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against Palestinians in Gaza. The Kingdom strongly condemned the ethnic cleansing taking place and the severe humanitarian crisis resulting from Israel's military actions. Saudi Arabia further criticized the extremist and occupying mentality that disregards the deep historical, legal, and emotional ties of the Palestinian people to their homeland. The Kingdom condemned the large-scale destruction of Gaza and the loss of more than 160,000 lives, mostly women and children, without any sense of human compassion or moral responsibility. The Kingdom affirmed that the Palestinian people have an inherent right to their land and are neither intruders nor immigrants who can be forcibly displaced at the will of the Israeli occupation. The ministry also stressed that those advocating such extremist ideas have consistently obstructed peace efforts by rejecting the Arab-led peace initiatives and systematically oppressing the Palestinian people for more than 75 years, in clear violation of international law, justice, and the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter. Reaffirming its unwavering stance, Saudi Arabia emphasized that the Palestinian people's rights remain indisputable and cannot be taken away, regardless of how long the struggle continues. The Kingdom reiterated that lasting peace can only be achieved through rational dialogue and the acceptance of peaceful coexistence under the two-state solution.
