Deputy Prime Minister of Oman, Sayyid Fahad bin Mahmoud Al-Said, emphasized the importance of regular GCC meetings in fostering cohesion among member states, enhancing the Council's global standing, and addressing shared challenges to achieve greater progress and prosperity. Speaking at the 45th session of the GCC Supreme Council, hosted by Kuwait, Al-Said reiterated Oman's commitment to advancing cooperation across all fields to bolster regional security and stability while addressing pressing issues. He extended heartfelt congratulations to the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on assuming the presidency of the current GCC session, and expressed gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality. Al-Said also acknowledged the leadership of Qatar's Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, in successfully managing the 44th session of the GCC Supreme Council. Conveying greetings from Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, Al-Said lauded the achievements of the GCC since its inception, particularly in economic, social, legislative, and scientific domains. He urged greater efforts to enhance cooperation and integration among Gulf nations, united by a shared history.
