RIYADH — Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan emphasized Saudi Arabia's dedication to fostering multilateral cooperation to achieve sustainable development goals (SDGs), leveraging its membership in the G20. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency on the eve of the G20 Leaders' Summit in Brazil, Al-Jadaan underscored the Kingdom's commitment to bolstering global economic stability and contributing to solutions and policies for shared challenges, particularly those facing developing and low-income nations. The minister highlighted Saudi Arabia's aim to draw on the experiences of G20 nations in various domains discussed within the group, given their status as the world's leading economies. He also reaffirmed the efforts of Saudi teams engaged in the G20 to share insights from the Kingdom's rapid economic transformation with member nations pursuing sustainable development and economic diversification. Al-Jadaan pointed to these countries' aspirations to achieve sustainable development and economic diversification, noting that Saudi Arabia's strategies under Vision 2030 and its national transformation programs provide valuable lessons and experiences. The minister commended Brazil's presidency for its diligent execution of this year's G20 agenda under the slogan "Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet." He noted that the presidency's three focus areas, addressing hunger and poverty, reforming global governance, and fostering sustainable development across economic, social, and environmental dimensions, align with the group's commitment to advancing multilateralism, ensuring food security, and promoting sustainable development. Al-Jadaan stated that Saudi Arabia's active engagement in the G20 Summit reinforces its regional and global standing, showcasing the strength of the Saudi economy as one of the fastest-growing globally. He emphasized the Kingdom's eagerness to participate in global forums to solidify its pivotal role in the international economic and financial landscape.
