RIYADH — Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman met with a number of Arab and Muslim leaders on Monday on the sidelines of the Arab-Islamic Follow-up Summit in Riyadh. The Crown Prince held bilateral meetings with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Jordanian King Abdullah II, Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, and Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan. The follow-up summit, attended by leaders and representatives of more than 50 Arab and Muslim countries, is an extension of the extraordinary joint Arab-Islamic summit hosted by Riyadh a year ago to discuss ways to end the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and Lebanon and establish peace in the region.
