JEDDAH — German coach Matthias Jaissle of Al Ahli Saudi FC expressed his determination to showcase the best possible performance from his team in every match. This statement came during a press conference held at the Al Ahli club, where he discussed preparations for the upcoming match against Al Okhdood in the eighth round of the Saudi Pro League. Jaissle acknowledged the contrasting performances of his team, stating, "We have seen a remarkable version of Al Ahli in the Asian elite competition, and a less impressive one in the league." He added, "I agree that we perform well in Asia, but we are focusing on the details in preparation for each match, and I hope we continue to show our best in all our competitions." Regarding the expectations for the next match, he said, "I want to see the best version of our performance in terms of quality and results, and that is what I expect in the match against Al Okhdood." Jaissle held the club's management accountable for not securing the necessary signings to support his tactical plans, stating, "The management knew what I wanted during the summer, and our demands are on the table for the winter transfer period. What I truly desire is to avoid injuries in the upcoming period." He praised Saudi international player Firas Al-Buraikan, saying, "Al-Buraikan has a great mentality; he wants to serve the team in any position we place him in. I know that playing as a winger isn't his usual role; he defends like a true winger and plays as a second striker in attack, giving his all for the team." Sometimes, opposing defenders push forward to equalize. In the second half, I try to inject fresh energy into the players available to me. There are some matches where we have the opportunity to finish the game and avoid difficulties, but we do not capitalize on those chances."
